This is a book club made up of men and women from the church and community who enjoy discussing a book.  They meet the second Friday of the month at 10 A.M. in the church library. Books are chosen from the group.  All are welcome!  Volunteers from the group lead the discussion.

October 11th:

An Island Out of Time by Tom Horton.  (nonfiction)  “ Tom’s memoir of living for 3 years on Smith Island and what he learned from the Islanders, traditions, the place and isolation surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay. 

November 11: 

Dead Wake by Eric Larson. (narrative nonfiction) account of the last crossing of the Atlantic Ocean of the luxury liner, the Lusitania when it was hit by a torpedo from a German U-boat during the first World War.

December 9th:

 Me Before You by Jo-Jo Myers.  (novel) about a young English woman content with her small town life, who is hired as a caretaker for an affluent Londoner paralyzed in a tragic accident.
