______________

On the first Sunday of the month from October 2011 through May 2012, Rabbi Geoff Basik of Kol HaLev Synagogue and our pastor, Jamie Dale, co-lead an interfaith Bible study.

____________

Bible study groups also meet weekly.  A dedicated group meets on Sunday mornings prior to worship to delve into the lectionary scripture readings for the day. There is also a Bible Study group led by the pastor that meets on Wednesday mornings to study a specific book of the Bible.  In 2011 they are meeting at Broadmead Retirement Community.  Ask where we are at the Information Desk.

______________

Another fabulous opportunity in September and October, 2011 is “Reclaiming the Center,” an interfaith exploration of questions of faith with Jewish and Christian congregations of Baltimore.  Sponsored by the Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies, this six-week series will meet at Brown Memorial Woodbrook Presbyterian Church and Chizuk Amuno Congregation. Regular programs are scheduled following Sunday worship with a light lunch usually available at a nominal charge. We engage speakers who are experts in their field and who present information in a clear and lively manner. These programs often generate interesting discussions and sometimes action.  Speakers come from the community and from within the congregation. Every year we plan to present a program in conjunction with the cultural community, for example the Baltimore Opera or the Walters Art Museum.
