Mission Team

Global Service/ Outreach

Brown Memorial Woodbrook reaches out to people in Pakistan by helping to support the General Assembly’s Presbyterian Education Board – Pakistan.  This Board administers 14 schools in Pakistan, where Muslim and Christian children are educated together in an atmosphere of mutual appreciation and respect.  These schools include both boys’ and girls’ schools, from primary through high school levels.  Mrs. Veeda Javaid, Executive Director of the Board, has visited Brown Memorial Church several times.

For some years we have also supported Paul and Pat Stock, missionaries among “untouchable” Hindu tribes in Pakistan.  Part of the Stocks’ work is at an audiovisual center, where they compose and record music that conveys Christian ideas.  They also sponsor a Village Outreach Program that sends Pakistani Christians into the local villages.  The Stock family has also visited Brown Memorial several times.
